2012 Hyundai Sonata

Futurecars January 26, 2011

The 2012 Hyundai Sonata is only getting into possession of few final touches before its launch but it has already caught the eyes of millions of people around the world. The end of the year 2011 has a huge surprise for Honda lovers with the launch of 2012 Hyundai Sonata. The 2012 Sonata is a five-door auto machine with a cargolicious rear end.

The South Korea’s largest automaker has for over six generations grown into a larger platform for the manufacturing and sale of automobiles that are a paradigm of masculine power and high-performance. The 2012 Hyundai Sonata has come to be qualified as a large car as far the EPA guidelines in the United States is concerned. Hyundai Sonata 2012 competes against the various high-performance and technologically embellished cars manufactured by large manufacturing units like Honda, Ford, Mercury, Subaru, Chevrolet, Nissan, Suzuki, Toyota et cetera.

The first ever Sonata that came into the market was a simple yet robust impulsive machine with four cylinder engines for the sake of comfortable driving. With the manufacturing and launch of more Sonata cars, the number of cylinders increased. They were closely associated with the third and fourth generation cars. Even after a distressing hit on the style of the third and fourth generation cars launched by Hyundai, the company has stepped over the debris of obscurity of their functional simplicity and value and the tormenting reputation for reliability through the manufacturing of the new 2012 Sonata Hyundai.

The new 2012 Sonata appeals to the eye with a completely new styled body that is clean of any complex details. It boats off a much larger passenger cabin, highly powerful four cylinders with a V-6 on board along with several other features that make it attractive as one of the authoritative vehicles in the class of automobiles manufactured by the brand company. The Sonata 2012 carries a dramatic styling that is new, different and uncommon in various other cars. It features a “fluidic sculpture” theme with an added advantage of a more enthusiastic feel that pours out of riding and handling of the brand new car. This, however, comes splat on the face of Ford Fusion and Nissan Altima.

2012 Sonata Specifications

The most fascinating aspect of Hyundai Sonata 2012 is its safety assurance, which has been certified by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Titled as the “Top safety pick” by the institute, it promises to be a worthwhile investment especially for those who consider safety over anything else concerning a car. 2012 Sonata Hyundai has a front-wheel drive and cylinders that are able to produce 274 horsepower turbo and a 40 mpg gas electric hybrid. Sonata 2012 gives the buyers several choices in terms of exterior colour and appearance. The trunk of the car measures 16.4 cubic feet, which can easily drag it into the category of some of the largest cars ever manufactured. The 2012 Sonata has several model line ups, which can be easily differentiated based on the engines fitted inside. All these models have several standard yet indispensable features like fog lamps, chrome-dressed grill, door handles, dual exhaust outlets et cetera. The all-aluminium car provides for an amazing mileage with its 2.4 litre cylinder.

2012 Hyundai Sonata Price

The Hyundai Sonata 2012 will be available at a base price range of $20,000 to $30,000. These prices can differ based on what features the emptor demands. They can be bargained at showrooms as against removal of certain features like mirror, fog lamps etc. The six-speed manual transmission is rated at 24/35 mpg city/highway. 1. I sincerely hope Hyundai fixes the left pull problem that has been plaguing the 2011 sonatas. The TSBs that HMA has put out to fix the problem are either useless, or a hogwash.

If any reporters/reviewers get their hand on the 2012 sonatas, can you please check if the 2012 sonata suffers from left pull ? Note that this is not torque steer, as some dealerships/technicians have claimed.

  2. Dang! I was hoping that the pull problems that a few cars are having with the 2011 sonatas would be fixed in the 2012 second-year models.

But what is this I hear ? Talk of some of the 2012 sonatas pulling to the RIGHT ?

I realize that the cars having these problems are few and far between, but when I go to buy one, there’s no telling if it has the defect or not, because test drives are not going to be comprehensive by nature. Add to that the fact that some dealers are reported to refuse to even acknowledge the issue, so the vaunted warranty is not so useful.

I really really really wish Hyundai would have a guaranteed fix for the pull problem by now – the engineers have had a full year to work on it. It’s a real shame, given that it is such a beautiful car!
