The 2013 Hyundai Veloster

Futurecars March 16, 2012

It seems to be a safe bet that the auto industry has something for just about everyone. From sports cars to SUVs and luxury sedans, there is something to fit almost every need. The problem that many people face, however, is that they eventually need the passenger and storage room available in something like a minivan but they want to drive something attractive, powerful and fun. This is where the hatchback comes in. As a bit of a cross between a sedan, SUV and minivan, the hatchback offers plenty of room with all the power you could want. The new 2013 Hyundai Veloster is set to provide some tough competition for the hatchback market.

The Veloster is an interesting car and many people were surprised with the past model. One of the most unique aspects of this hatchback is the exterior design. While it may, at first, look like other cars of this type, the 2013 Veloster is a sleek and stylish vehicle. The lines are clean and rounded without being bulbous. It seems that many modern cars are either boxy or bulbous but the Veloster is a nice compromise between the two. Even sitting still, this new hatchback looks like it’s ready to speed down an open highway. One thing that really sets this car apart from the others, however, is the fact that it has three doors. While it looks like it only has two, the third door can be found on the rear passenger side.

The exterior of the Veloster 2013 models has been designed to be even more aerodynamic than previous models. The designers at Hyundai are trying to shave off every bit of drag that they can to help increase fuel efficiency. The headlights and tail lights are very nicely sculpted and wrap around the side a bit. The grill is large and open but still quite attractive. A larger open grill usually indicates a powerful engine and this is a safe assumption with the new 2013 Hyundai Veloster. While some hatchbacks can still end up looking like a smaller SUV, the Veloster does a nice job of creating its own modern silhouette.

As can be expected with a hatchback, the interior of the 2013 Veloster is quite spacious. Cars of this type are generally designed with passengers in mind. Whether the ideal owner has a family and needs to haul groceries or is even a musician with lots of equipment, the whole goal of a hatchback is to have a sporty little vehicle with plenty of room for everything you need. The new Hyundai Veloster 2013 models are continuing this trend and offer plenty of room for both driver and passengers without sacrificing the aesthetics. The fabric used in the interior is quite nice and has plenty of details while the dash is well sculpted and offers a nice visible display.

The 2013 Hyundai Veloster has been designed with the idea of interior comfort in mind. Many people will end up escorting a few children around in their hatchback so there is plenty of room in the back row as well. The interior has been accented with details and lights through out to help add to the luxury feel of the interior. The new 2013 Veloster will also come with all of the technology that should be expected in a modern car. Integration with modern communication and entertainment gadgets should be expected as well as modern amenities such as navigation systems and satellite radio.

One of the things that really sets the 2013 Veloster apart from other vehicles is its set of specs. The Veloster has been known as a rather sporty hatchback and Hyundai is seeking to continue this through the next line of cars. While the standard model will come with a respectable engine, Hyundai is also creating a very nice Turbo edition of the 2013 Hyundai Veloster models. The standard engine will be a 1.6 liter direct injected in-line 4 motor that produces a nice 138 horsepower. The Turbo model, on the other hand, will come with a turbo charge engine which produces a very impressive 208 horsepower.

The hatchback seems to be the perfect compromise between larger, roomier vehicles and smaller sportier cars. Hyundai is looking to improve every aspect of its hatchback in the new 2013 Veloster models. With three doors and a distinctive body, the new Veloster will be hard to miss. With plenty of room on the inside for both people and luggage, it seems that Veloster owners will never be wanting for space. The respectable standard engine shows that Hyundai is serious about making a sporty hatchback while the Turbo model will give speed freaks all of the power they could want without sacrificing much by way of fuel efficiency. The 2013 Hyundai Veloster is expected to set a new standard for sporty, attractive, hatchbacks.
