The 2013 Toyota Corolla

Futurecars March 2, 2012

Despite the changing climate surrounding the auto industry, it seems that there will always be a place for a respectable sedan. Toyota is easily one of the top car manufacturers in the world and they understand that, while some people may want a sporty vehicle, others are looking for something a bit more practical. The Toyota Corolla has been one of the best selling models this company has yet produced. Known as a spacious and reliable vehicle, the Corolla has been a favorite throughout many levels of society. While many of the specs are still being kept under wraps, we can be sure that the 2013 Corolla will continue to offer a reliable ride.

Toyota is still keeping much of the information surrounding the new 2013 Corolla a secret but we can glean a small bit of information from previous models. The Corolla has traditionally been a sedan that offered plenty of room and comfort without over doing anything. The new Corolla models should continue this tradition of reliability and driving enjoyment into the coming years. There has, however, been some speculation as to whether or not Toyota will be releasing a two door coupe version of the Corolla. While it may seem a bit odd to release a coupe version of a car meant for a sedan market, it seems that the current trend in the auto market is leaning towards this outcome.

We are expecting that the exterior on the Toyota Corolla 2013 models will not represent a dramatic departure from previous models. The Corolla has always been an attractive car without being overly flashy. What we can see from some leaked photos is that the new Corolla will resemble older models but with a slightly more modern flare. Toyota is a company that is always keen to stay ahead of their competition and will probably put a few very nice accents into the design of the new 2013 Corolla. The new model should also come in a number of different option packages including a base model, an LE, SE and XLE models. For those auto fans looking for a bit more power in their ride, Toyota will also release a sporty XRS model. These different option packages will, obviously, come with different price tags but the base price should be competitive with comparable cars.

It seems that the interiors of modern cars are more important than they have been in a while. This should be a fairly obvious focus when you consider that car owners will spend most of their time inside the car and not standing around staring at the exterior. From what we’ve seen on previous models the Corolla 2013 models should have a very nice interior. The fabric is high quality and is nicely stitched. The console will be of particular focus with updated displays and a new design for the overall look. The dash and other elements will have a nice collection of small details and accent lights that will make it feel more luxurious.

The 2013 Toyota Corolla will also continue the tradition of providing plenty of room for adults to sit comfortably. One of the reasons that people buy sedans is because of the room they offer. This room isn’t constrained to the front row and will usually mean that rear seat passengers will have all the leg room they need. It seems likely that the new Corolla will be slightly more spacious than previous models and the increased options packages will add a few more touches to the aesthetic value of the interior. The new Corolla 2013 models will also come with all of the technology and safety features that modern car buyers are looking for.

Under the hood of the 2013 Corolla we find a respectable machine. While the Corolla isn’t meant for drag racing, it can still haul its weight quite well. The engine itself will be a 1.8 liter, four cylinder motor that produces about 132 horsepower. This may not impress fans of super cars but it is certainly a respectable set of numbers for cars in this class. The Toyota Corolla 2013 models will also come with the option of having a five speed manual or four speed automatic transmission.

Most people will be interested in a sedan for its practicality and reliability. People who buy sedans aren’t looking to race or go off road but they do want something they can trust to get them through a variety of driving conditions. While much of the info surrounding the new 2013 Toyota Corolla is still a secret, it seems that this new model will impress just as much, if not more, than its predecessors. With its host of different option packages, the spacious interior, the attractive exterior and its trustworthy engine, the new 2013 Corolla should offer stiff competition in the sedan market.
